Angles House, a new home situated on the upper slope of the picturesque Waveney Valley, has been shortlisted by The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for the 2026 RIBA East Awards.

What was once a Class Q barn has been transformed, by Beech Architects, into a series of four timber-clad "huts" connected by striking glass links. The home has been expertly designed to meet rigorous Passivhaus-style standards, prioritising longevity and recyclability in every material choice.

To support the home’s deep connection to the outdoors while maintaining high thermal efficiency, the Glazing Vision Fixed Flushglaze Rooflight was specified. Once installed, the rooflight provided a minimalist ‘frameless’ view of the Suffolk sky, flooding the interior with natural daylight without compromising the building's energy efficiency.

We are incredibly proud to have played a part in this sustainable project. We wish the best of luck to Beech Architects and the rest of the 2026 RIBA East contenders.
