Access Your Roof Deck at the Touch of a Button
Turn roof access into a seamless part of the architecture with the Glazing Vision SkyDoor. This fully glazed, hinged skylight opens to the roof deck at the touch of a button, providing safe, effortless access in less than a minute while maintaining the clean lines and expansive views Glazing Vision is known for.
Intelligent actuators synchronize the two supporting mechanisms, allowing the SkyDoor to open smoothly to 87°. It can also be stopped at any point during operation, giving you the added benefit of natural ventilation when partially open.
Unlike conventional folding-arm access skylights, the SkyDoor's drive opening system [Upgraded for 2026] creates a clearer path onto the roof deck and allows larger sizes to be manufactured with less stress on the framework. All operating mechanisms, control electronics and power supplies are concealed within the frame, preserving a sleek, unobstructed appearance.
Safety is built in, with an overload cut-off and integrated proximity detector, alongside thermally broken framework for improved performance. Its minimalist design has also made Glazing Vision skylights a popular choice for landmark and historic buildings, with a proven track record of achieving planning approval.
A smarter way to connect your interior with the world above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Glazing Vision Skylights can be connected to your Home Automation System. Our skylights also boast numerous smart features such as rain sensor connectivity, thermostat connectivity, and more.
A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects, the SkyDoor proximity sensors work by emitting a beam which will automatically stop travel of the skylight when any 'object' disrupts the beam. It is against the Machinery Directive to not include a proximity detector on an access skylight.
Glazing Vision provides a rain sensor as an optional extra which allows the skylight to automatically close when rain is detected, allowing your home interior to be protected from the elements.
Lead times vary per product as they are carefully assembled and tested in-house, but your local Technical Sales Manager can advise you of our latest lead times.
